Fire Performers
Kara
From the first moment Kara saw fire dancing, she knew she would perform it. She is a founding member and sole performer who has been with the group every step of the way. She continues to be a fueling force behind choreography, costume, makeup, tool development, promotion and professional development.
Amy
One of the founding members of Nocturnal Sunshine, Amy has returned to us from seattle, where she performed
with another fire performance troupe, Pyrosutra. We are very excited to have her back.
She adds an amazing style and grace to the mix.

Rebecca
For Rebecca, fire dancing is about cultivating a friendship with the active force and energy of the light, understanding the power of movement and fire together, being playful, having fun and welcoming in the mystical.
Wolf
Wolf was enraptured by the art while rangering at Burning Man in 2003. Since returning from the desert, he’s devoted much of his time and energy to learning the arts of fire performance, and dance.

Fire Safety Team
Taj
Taj, a martial artist and dancer/ promoter is no stranger to large and small events alike. It is evident in his every move that he is fully aware of the situation at hand and is always at the ready. Taj is focused and dedicated. Add that to a healthy dose of cheer and you have one hell of a safety. We are all excited to have him watching our backs.

Michael
Once a firedancer himself, Michael has been an invaluable resource to us since the beginning. His contributions include fire safety, administrative support, and creative juice. He has become a respected Black Rock City fire sculptor through the creation of his fire tornado. He is an internal resource who keeps our efficency and professionalism burning bright.
Christian
Christian has been holding the wet towel for us as our lead fire safety person since the beginning. He’s been there to keep the audience at a safe distance, extinguish our toys after an act, and help everyone “get real” about being safe.
